1E: Tracking and control

These research activities aim at designing systems to tract and control the dispatched task forces for the purpose of efficient and effective disaster and emergency management.

Examples of research topics are:

  • Models of tracking nodes for different devices and systems including devices such as swarms of UAV’s, autonomous devices, etc.

  • İnterfaces to tracking nodes

  • Monitoring interfaces and generation

  • Layered distributed control architectural styles

  • Control algorithms

  • Control strategies

  • Control parameters for different kinds of nodes

  • Adaptive control

  • Modeling and measuring quality of control

  • Controlling when predefined or unanticipated emergent conditions appear

  • Control ontologies and strategies

  • Automatic data gathering for improving tracking and control

  • Machine learning for optimum control

  • Standardization of control interfaces
