Today, with a group of professors from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos, we visited the Crisis Management Center of the Municipality.
In recent years, São Carlos and its environs have been subject to very severe floods. The authorities warmly welcomed us. We were informed by the problems and the needs. We presented our research and development activities on disaster management systems (*). We agreed all together that we should work together in addressing the flooding and other disaster management issues such as earthquakes. We thanked the authorities for their hospitality and for sending a rescue team to Turkey during the past devastating disaster.
