On the 18th of April, a workshop was organized between Turkish speaking WADDEM members and AFAD.

World Alliance on Digitalization for Disaster & Emergency Management (WADDEM: waddem.com) is an alliance aiming at managing disasters and emergency conditions through digitization.

AFAD is the disaster and emergency management presidency of Türkiye.

On the 18th of April, a workshop was organized between Turkish speaking WADDEM members and AFAD. The purpose was to exchange ideas between WADDEM and AFAD members so that effective digitalization techniques can be developed for disaster management. 

Dr. Şenay Özden, the Research Director of AFAD has chaired the workshop.

The workshop was attended by the members of AFAD and WADDEM and representatives of some relevant NGO's. Some researchers of WADDEM who could not be in Ankara connected through Internet. 

We all agreed to continue with cooperation and take concrete steps for accomplishing the planned objectives.
